What is a "print-to-order" pattern?

A print-to-order pattern is printed for you at the time we receive your order. Patterns with up to eight pages are printed in color; patterns with more than eight pages have color covers with black and white inside pages. We'll print and ship it to you within 24 to 48 hours after receiving your order. Please note that your print-to-order patterns will be shipped separately to you so if you ordered other items, you'll receive multiple packages.

Texture, color and multiple stitch patterns work together to create this whimsical baby blanket. This is a great pattern for using up scraps or for coordinating your colors with the nursery's décor. Knit with approximately 700 total yards of worsted-weight yarn at a gauge of 18 stitches per 4" using U.S. size 7/4.5mm needles.

Watercolours Blanket Knit Pattern

I've knit this blanket after purchasing it as a kit at Stitches South last spring. It looks like the recommended yarn list given here is missing an orange color needed for the pattern. My kit came with different yarn but the recommended Plymouth yarn shown here would definitely make a more cost efficient piece. The new mom I gave the blanket too was completely thrilled with the gift and it was a pleasure to knit. I've thought about making another to have on hand for a future needed baby gift and just may do that now that someone did the work of finding substitute colors.
