For a neat and snug fit, the fabric must be flexible and stretchy, like in knitting! To achieve this comfort in crochet, these slippers are worked sideways in slip-stitch ribbing. A great beginner slipper design. Sizes Small 2-5 (Medium 6-8, Large 9-11)
Designed by Ingunn Santini.

Ribbed Slipper Pocket Socks Crochet Pattern

July 25, 2018

I've been crocheting for 47 years. These instructions are a little vague and the pictures are too small to be much help. I've made two pairs and pretty much did my own thing after trying to follow the instructions for seaming the sides. It appears each corner is gathered and the side seams are sl st together, but I "couldn't get there from here" with these instructions. I gave 3 stars because I love the density and stretchiness of the sl st fabric. Pattern might be ok with a tutorial on assembly, emphasis on those corners. New crocheters might need one for the sl st fabric as well. A link to an online tutorial for sl st fabric is mentioned in the pattern, but I found it lacking. The creator of the pattern did offer email help but I didn't take advantage of that.
