I think once the errors in the pattern were discovered a revised pattern should have been sent to all who had paid for this pattern. Since the pattern is in a protected PDF file, the file I received cannot be amended I had to create an "errata" file in Word to go along with it. I have made this pattern twice the first time in the recommended Sarasota yarn, which I felt was stiff and scratchy. The second time I made it in a DK weight 3 baby yarn, which turned out beautifully. It is a lovely pattern once you get past the errors.

This pattern is definitely not easy due to errors, confusing instructions, and incomplete instructions. Since I'm an experienced crocheter I was able to persevere and puzzle it out. What I’m more disappointed in is the suggested yarn! The Sarasota is scratchy and stiff so the created fabric is just not at all inviting. I purchased this last spring just as everything had shut down and decided to buy the kit from Annie's. However, due to my first grandchild coming I put my patterns aside and have been crocheting baby items and only now getting to this project. Now that I've figured out the pattern I may make another with better yarn!

Been crocheting for many years and can normally read patterns with no problem, but this one has been a challenge, will keep on trucking/crocheting until the end, I hope.

Beautiful stitches, but i don't think this was technically a "beginner" sweater. Required a lot of youtube searches, pattern a bit confusing to me. Got completely lost starting sleeves. My first garment in crochet. (have knitted sweaters) ... I would say this is an advanced beginner at best. Agree with Karen C about mistake -- but I just went with it.
