As a novice quilter, this was a wonderful quilt to start with. I learned a lot about different quilt patterns and enjoyed doing it. Instructions were easy to follow. I had plenty of leftover fabric for when I seriously had an "oops" with the flying geese. Not perfect but pretty good for my first large quilt. Absolutely learned so much. On to actually quilting it.

I have this pattern from the quarterly magazines. Today a friend and I finished the blocks. The pattern was well written and no errors found. So refreshing.

I like the fabrics in this block of the month. They are nice & excellent quality. The blocks go together easily & look nice. The only thing I would like better is if they gave measurements for each block going into the bigger blocks, so we could make sure we are on the right track, because once you get the whole block together, if it doesn't measure what it is supposed to, you can't do anything about it by then. So I'm a bit apprehensive about putting this together, because my blocks are a different size than they are supposed to be. I can't cut them down at the finished point, because then I would lose my 14" points. I hope I have some leway when putting this together.

I just received my first Norfolk Summer Breeze block of the month package, and I know by the looks that I will enjoy making all 9 blocks and have a beautiful quilt at the end.
