Solidify your half-square triangle (HST) skills by building the Anvil block. It's a combination of a small triangle and small squares, plus a larger triangle in a two-color pattern. Create HSTs with solid-colored fabric. Arrange HSTs around a center square to form the unique and eye-catching Anvil block. In this Quilter's Skill Builders episode, quilting expert Nancy McNally discusses pressing seams to one side or opening them, and uncovers tips for working with HSTs with a bias edge so you don't stretch it out.
