This beautiful oversized hooded coat is made using Red Heart Unforgettable worsted-weight yarn and a size M/N/13/9mm crochet hook. 6 (6, 7, 8, 9) skeins of the color sunrise are used. If you prefer a regular fit sweater you may need to go down one size.

The pattern was easy to follow but once I got about halfway through and realized how huge it was, I gave up on the project. Follow the advice of Katherine S and use a smaller hook.

I made this up in Polo and I really love it! I left off the hood because I wouldn't use it. I got about a third of the way done before I realized that it was making up too big with an L hook. I restarted it using a K hook and it fit the measurements for a Medium better. It's not as "open weave" with a smaller hook, but I like it just fine. Because I was using a smaller hook, I didn't count rows, like the pattern is set up. I just kept going until the measurement matched what was in the instructions.
