This was a fun and easy pattern it worked up quickly with intuitive instructions and looked professional when finished. It looks fantastic on my baby niece and she loves wearing it.
I also have been crocheting for many years. The pattern threw me a little around the arms. I also changed where the single crochet went around the double crochet loops and instead just made a chain and wove it around the loops so it could be adjustable. Then at the lower end of the yoke I did a chain 40, worked the front loops across and then chained another 40. This made it so there were two ties rather than one. Then as I went around the skirt I joined the rows on the sixth row rather than the ninth row. I did not like the back gap being so long. These changes are just my personal touch. Have fun crocheting!
This pattern is definitely NOT super simple. I have been crocheting for many years and followed countless patterns with little difficulty, but I found this pattern to be challenging in certain places. The writing style of this pattern has the feel of how patterns were written years ago. However, the dress looks very nice when it is worked up and once you understand the pattern, it goes quickly. I will say that Pattern Services was extremely helpful. They called me back very quickly and were well prepared to show me what I was missing. I wouldn't hesitate to order this pattern and give it a try because if you get into a trouble spot Pattern Services are ready and willing to help and the end product is definitely worth it.
It was very hard for me to understand the armhole too confusing for me. Need better pictures that show us step by step instruction. I been crocheting for many years and this is the first time I had so much trouble reading a patterns, if anyone out there made this patterns with trouble please help me. Sara atencio
