What is a "print-to-order" pattern?

A print-to-order pattern is printed for you at the time we receive your order. Patterns with up to eight pages are printed in color; patterns with more than eight pages have color covers with black and white inside pages. We'll print and ship it to you within 24 to 48 hours after receiving your order. Please note that your print-to-order patterns will be shipped separately to you so if you ordered other items, you'll receive multiple packages.

This 1-piece pattern can be completed in a jiff! There are 3 different sleeve styles included in the pattern: kimono, cap and dolman; 2 neckline options: scoop and V-neck; and 3 interchangeable lengths. Simply finish the neckline of your choice with a bias strip, sew the side seams and the hem, and you're done!

I have been sewing for many years and can't believe that so many reviews said the sizing on this pattern was perfect. I followed the measurements on the pattern and still did not get a fit that was right. I am a 44 bust and ended up making the size for a 48 bust and it was still too tight in the bust but looked like a maternity top at the waist and hips. I ended up doing some color blocking at the sides to get the fit at the bust and took in 3-4 inches around the waist and hips to get rid of the balloon look. I was very disappointed in this pattern and it is now in the donate bin. I had high hopes for this pattern being a quick and easy pattern but it was not.

I purchased this pattern to use for a learn to sew class I plan to give and tried it out on my 17-year-old cousin who came to learn sewing for the first time. It was perfect and it fit perfect! She and I were both pleased. Rayon batik should be the fabric of choice for this one, as it drapes beautifully and handles well (especially compared with rayon knit, which was what we used to make the second garment she made from a Butterick pattern). Highly recommend it!
