A seam ripper is a seam ripper, and I have dozens because I keep losing them. However, this one is special because it hangs around your neck and it would be more difficult to lose. That is the theory, anyway. In actual usage, the magnet is not strong enough to hold the seam ripper to the necklace. It falls right off.

I really like mine, so I bought another 5 in different colors for my quilt group members for Christmas gifts. I wish there were more similar type items to keep all my tools nearby - there's certainly enough room on this necklace to do some add-ons & a seam ripper isn't used as often when hand quilting or machine embroidering (mostly used for sewing & quilt-piecing). In the past I have used charm bracelets/ key fobs to identify my tools from the others when we are sitting around a quilt frame. It would be nice to have a means of having them all handy, while being quick & easy to remove to use.

I purchased one for me and one as a gift. I opened the package and put the chain around my neck and the seam ripper fell off. The magnet is not strong enough to hold the weight of the seam ripper. We had to hot glue the chain piece to the seam ripper. Threw the second on in the trash. So disappointed.
