Tilt Crochet Pattern
Love a good sock pattern!
Tilt socks are toe-up style crochet socks with a simple slanted cable pattern that is reversed on the opposite foot. This results in a beautiful unisex sock that everyone will love. Gorgeous in solid and tonal yarns, this sock is also a charming pattern in variegated, hand painted or long striping yarns.
Written in 4-foot widths, the sock is easily customizable to foot length and leg height just by adding more or less of the 2 pattern row repeats once the slanting cables are established. Notes are included to help create a larger leg for those who may have thicker calves than others.
Regular sock requires 275 (300, 330, 356) yards fingering weight / sock yarn and knee-high socks require 410 (425, 465, 534) yards fingering weight / sock yarn. Socks require a 2 1/2 mm and 3 mm crochet hook or sizes needed for gauge.
Finished sizes:Small: 6 1/2" - 7 1/2" circumference Medium: 7 1/2" - 8 1/2" circumference Large: 8 1/2" - 9 1/2" circumference XL: 9 1/2" - 10.5" circumference
