Like Pam S, I figured out the first two sections before realizing that there was a video. That is where I am stalled, yet the video only shows the beginning of the sweater. I would ask that Annie's create additional videos for the rest of the pattern. I've been crocheting for years and regularly complete patterns described as intermediate - I would suggest that the stitches aren't difficult, but the directions leave a lot to be desired!
Beautiful and I finally figured out the first two sections, but coming to the 2nd pattered on the front, my stitches didn't match the number of small diamonds in the picture. So I went to view the video, which only includes instructions for the left side panel and first panel on the front. Very disappointed. I'll try to figure it out on my own, but I shouldn't have to. If no video, instructions need to be more clear and photos should be included. I'll be REALLY upset if I've spent all this time working on the tunic and can't figure out how to continue.
This was a challenge, but I got through it! And I'm very glad I stuck with it! It makes a beautiful sweater and I am so proud to say I made it! I agree with the other reviews that wish there was a more in-depth video than the one provided hence the 4 stars. As an intermediate crocheter, I was stumped several times. My advice is to purchase and try it! You will amaze yourself with the result and then YOU can say "I made it myself!"
Contrary to other reviews, I'm absolutely loving this pattern and find the instructions are easy enough to follow. The only thing i can figure out from other lower reviews, is that the video doesn't include instructions for rows 17-28 for the front on page 4 of the instructions. I found I could follow the written instructions just fine but others may be more visual learners and need that part included in the video Or maybe it should be listed as Advanced Level rather then Intermediate? Just a suggestion but I encourage others to try it since the stitches themselves are easy enough....at least for me.
This pattern is not clear. A video would be extremely helpful. Purchased the pattern and was sent an email correction two days later. It would be helpful to actually see the pattern stitched - it is not written well. I have been crocheting for 47 years, and this is impossible to figure out.
