A wonderful pattern. But I feel the instructions could be a bit clearer. I spent a considerable amount of time puzzling out how to attach the head.

This is a darling elephant pattern. However, be sure to check for the revision to the "tummy" pattern piece, as it has been revised. The "tummy" on the original download, does not fit.

Carol - The tummy template was corrected on the PDF on March 10, 2014 so if you download the pattern after that date, you should have the correct template. Be sure to set your printer to print at actual size when printing the templates.

I made this darling little elephant about 3 years ago for our third granddaughter. The pieces were cut out before I left home to travel in our RV. I stitched it by hand on-the-road for two days. It turned out perfect and absolutely adorable! It's a treasure from Gramma! I encourage everyone to try this one!

I purchased this pattern on 2/22/2011 and kept it packed away to make for my grandchildren. My first grandchild is due in April of 2014. Started the pattern and have found that the pieces don't fir together ... the underside of the elephant does not match in size to the outer portion of the elephant. I've wasted time and material. Don't waste your time on this one. I have to rate this pattern by stars ... it's cute, but doesn't work!!
