Working from ChartsWhen working with more than one color in a row, sometimes a chart is provided to follow the pattern. On the chart each square represents one stitch. A key is given indicating the color or stitch represented by each color or symbol in the box. When working in rows, read odd-numbered rows from right to left and even numbered rows from left to right. Odd-numbered rows represent the right side of the work and are usually knit. Even-numbered rows represent the wrong side and are usually purled. When working in rounds, every row on the chart is a right-side row, and is read from right to left. |
