Robyn Chachula's path to her successful crochet design career began in architectural engineering. She pursued a career as a structural engineer specializing in historic preservation and renovation. Robyn has been a crochet expert on Annie's Knit and Crochet Now! television program, which appears on many PBS stations. She is also the instructor of Annie's Learn to Crochet Sweaters, Learn Yarn Substitutions for Crochet and Learn to Crochet Jewelry video classes and author of several books. I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. Within the first few minutes the main question I have had with substituting yarn was cleared up in minutes without having to do the calculations that never really made sense to me. I've always purchased yarn based on how many stitches per 4" and then hoped for the best. However, knowing if the yarn is on the lighter or higher range for what the pattern is calling for makes a ton of sense. Why hasn't someone explained it that way before. Now I think it's so simple why didn't I think about in those terms. Great Job!
