Pepper Cory has been a quilt-maker since 1972 when she saw an antique quilt at a rummage sale and purchased it for $1. From that moment, Pepper wanted to learn to make quilts and so she sought out quilt-makers who could teach her. While a college student, she joined a group of elderly ladies who over time patiently taught her the art. Since then, Pepper has been collecting quilts, making quilts herself, writing books about quilts, designing needlework tools and fabric, and sharing her love of quilting with others by teaching and lecturing.

Very disappointed. I am a beginner hand quilter. This course while very nice and offered insight into materials used to make quilts and various methods of quilting did not provide me, a beginner, with the necessary knowledge to start my own quilt. I found online, and in various books on hand quilting how to get started. I am sure my first quilt is not done according to the "rules" of quilting and would never garner an award. But I am content with my quilt and in hand sewing a basic block quilt I am gaining skills, insights into how to better do the next quilt, and find the process relaxing. I reviewed the video with the local quilting store- they felt the quilt Flagstones and Heather to be a more advanced quilt. I am still struggling with how to add the back piece and batting by hand. Again, the extra video on finishing your quilt is on a machine. I have no machine! But with the aid of various videos and problem solving I will complete my first quilt. It would be great if you offered "very basic" hand quilting, starting with stitches and going from there. Pepper is great and I admire her skills. I do play the video when I am stressed with my quilt. Peppers' demeanor once is comforting and gives me the confidence I will finish my first quilt.

This class was fantastic. We are in the midst of the coronavirus 19 and I finally took time to watch this class. We are so fortunate that there isn't a time limit as I would loose big bucks. My life is crazy with running a farm and my husband being diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Quilting takes my mind off things and eases the stress. The instructor is very easy to watch and she is so knowledgeable and yet lets you feel that you can do almost anything. Bravo to Pepper . LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this class.

I've machine quilted dozens of small projects but I want to do larger projects I can't get through my domestic garment sewing machine - after watching this class I'm now feeling much better prepared to finally make a hand quilted bed cover. But thanks to this superb class I realize I need to start on something smaller like a set of table mats or even a pot holder to practice the techniques so my bed cover quilting is successful. Pepper is a great teacher and gave so many well presented tips with the excellent step-by-step instruction, I'll be looking for more classes with her now.
