I agree with another review writer that there were some inaccuracy challenges in the pattern, but the outcome blessed me with a "Best of Show" ribbon at our 2015 county fair in the crochet division. When the judge held up the shawl, then draped it on her assistant to model for the audience, it clinch a first place blue ribbon before going on to be judged as "Best of Show". I used a yarn that has a small percentage of wool. Unlike acrylics, the wool blend allows for gentle stretching during blocking for the desired sizing.

I finished the shawl in about 2-3 weeks. It's quite pretty and fairly easy, but there are inaccuracies in the pattern, which disappointed me.
Rows 45-86 should read repeat rows 3-43, and I had problems with the lace sections. Row 1 says "Join in ch-2 sp, ch 3" which counts as the first dc as per Pattern Notes. Then says dc in each st along that will give 51 dc, not 50. Has to be an odd number because row 2 won't work with an even number.
The brief instruction to "Rep Lace Border ... across bottom edge of back section" is a bit vague, but, given that there are 96 stitches on the edge of the back section, the pattern won't work unless adjusted. Even by adding 3ch for the 1st dc in the ch-2 sp, that gives 97 sts, and I don't think row 3 will work across that number of stitches. Anyway, I charted out the lace section and worked it from my chart. From memory I think it needed 99 sts, so I adjusted the sc at the start and end to use 97 sts. Wish I'd kept the chart now!
Overall, the pattern is quite simple and quick to work up. I have given 3 stars because I was disappointed with the pattern, not the end result.

I finished crocheting this yesterday. It took me 2 months, crocheting an hour or two, 4-5 times a week.
The pattern has a mistake on Rows 45-86, it should read "Rep rows 3-44 of Stole Section" instead of "Rep rows 2-44 of Stole Section".
In addition, the pattern is a little vague and hard to follow at times.
Other than that, I loved the project and the shawl turned out beautiful. I used the yarn recommended for the project (not cheap!)
When my daughter saw the finished project she asked if I would give it to her; she wants to keep it at work as a cover up on cold days.
I'm giving it 5 stars for the beauty and backstory of the project.

Really beautiful. Time and labor intensive but worth it. Pattern and dimensions are accurate.
