Customer Reviews for Simply Elegant Quilt Pattern

While I'm going to love the finished project, I found the construction of the blocks made the project far more complicated than necessary. When I finally had all the blocks completed and on the design wall, I realized that I could have made just two types of blocks, the star block and the sixteen patch and the whole process would have been so much simpler. Making the blocks as instructed, ended up with blocks more like a giant jigsaw puzzle I needed to put together, needing to correctly position four blocks or part blocks to create the stars. I found the pattern unnecessarily complicated from that perspective. Because I had used two different coordinating background fabrics, I now have stars that have more than one background fabric as part of the star, which would not have been the case had I been simply making a star block or sixteen patch.
