This is a great little pattern book. All of the afghans are about the same size (40-something by 60-something inches) and require the same amount of yarn (25. oz. worsted weight) and an I hook. The filet technique is very simple, but when it is done in thread like the old days, it takes forever--these throws are much quicker! "In a Day" is a bit of an exaggeration unless you can spend all day crocheting, but I'll have mine done in a week or two. I enjoy doing the scalloped edges--it's a fresh look and not hard to do once you've done a few rows. I also appreciate that the pattern is both written out and given as a chart.
