I made one for my mom using the recommended yarn but in market spice color. Used a P crochet hook and M on cuffs, and recommended quantity was fine. Making a second one for myself. Agree it's annoying not to be ankle to get yarn on Annie's site. Ordered yarn from an online yarn and craft site, and because I thought I had enough left from the first one, I needed 2 add'l which I got from a crafting retail location. Very happy with the pattern. Wish Annie's would provide more help on yarn recommendations.

This is my first attempt at making anything to wear. It was so easy and I finished it quickly. I loved the yarn but I bought it from amazon. I will be doing this in different colors. It needs a tam to go with it. I need an easy pattern.

Very easy although 7 balls of main color was not enough. Had to purchase an extra one.

Very easy to follow and works up very quickly. I've made two and nothing but compliments on this project.
It does stretch and fits oversized like the description....you will not be disappointed!

I wished you had a tutorial for this pattern it would really be helpful.

For a novice crocheter this went really fast. It is very cozy and warm.

I have 2 patterns in my shopping cart and I would love to make them before Christmas. I don't get out to shop, so shopping online is perfect for me. Unfortunately the yarn that you recommend for the patterns, you don't sell. Are you going to be stocking Hudson Bay, Fisherman Lion brand soon? I'm giving 3 stars only because you do carry the patterns, but I also need the yarn.

What would be a good yarn to use other than wool?? I live in Louisiana an wool would be too warm. I'm anxious to get started.
