I have to admit I was very intimidated to make this dress because it was definitely the most advanced pattern I had attempted in a long time BUT am I glad I faced my fears! My husband and I were asked to be god parents to my sister's youngest and being a very crafty person, I wanted to make her baptism dress. She's almost two pandemic and living far away prevented us from doing it sooner so it was very hard to find a beautiful dress that would fit her until I found this beautiful pattern!I was ready to give up shortly after making the yoke because I could not get the lace pattern to match up to what I had in my hand. I decided to reach out to Annie's Catalog customer service to see if they had any suggestions on where I went wrong and they were so helpful and actually got me in contact with the person who created the pattern! She was SO helpful and actually sent me a step by step tutorial on where I went wrong and where to correct it. I was in shock I got a response in the first place, let alone a full explanation with pictures! I was able to finish the entire dress and it EXCEEDED expectations. I received so many compliments on the dress and my sister was so happy to have something special for her daughter to keep and pass down.The pattern is very well written and the pictures help a lot - I really got in a good groove crocheting every night!In conclusion, if you are a mid-levelintermediate crocheter and aren't afraid to make and learn from your mistakes, this will end up being the most beautiful little dress you will make.
