The pattern does not state if you stuff the shoes but not the legs...I went ahead and stuffed the legs and do not like the look. The smaller hook with 4 wt yarn was difficult to do. I would have liked more detail as to brush out the beard. All in all, I finished it, but will try again .

Goodness! This challenged me. It is a very small hook on too large yarn and is very "fiddly" to work with. Nonetheless, the minute my grown daughter saw it she ran off with it, delighted with her capture.
