This is a good pattern to use to create your first dollhouse. It's continental stitches for everything except the roof. I made this in 1999. It took me 6 months then, but I don't think it would take me that long now, as I'm more practiced with putting things together, plus I was working outside the home full time. The pattern calls for regular size sheets of plastic canvas, however, I would recommend using stiff plastic canvas. My mom bought it from me to give to a little girl who lived down the street with her single mom. When that girl got too old for it she gave it back to my mom, and Mom kept it at her house for visiting kids to play with. My mom died in 2011, and when we were going through her things, we found it in a closet. It was still in good shape except for sagging upstairs floors. I think if I had used ultra stiff canvas it might have looked as good as new. Regular canvas for all the furniture would be fine, as it's harder to work with stiff canvas for smaller items. I figured on making another one of these some day, in which case I will use stiff canvas for the walls, ceilings, floors, and outer house shell.
