didn't realize it's not just a needle sharpener, but a needle holder as well. One side is magnetic, which will come in handy. And I've lost count of how many needkes and pins I've tossed because it developed a burr. I'm looking forward to testing this out. If it's as good as they say on the package, I'll be buying one for each of my granddaughters who enjoy sewing and creating
