Garden Fairies Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

Not happy with this pattern. The directions are not complete. No notation on whether two chains or three chains equal a double crochet. No assistance on making the wing. Consulted with a more advanced crocheter on the wings and she couldn't figure it out either.
