Almost didn't get this due to the less-than-stellar reviews, but I'm glad I did. The tray was in good shape, I sanded it and wiped it down as per the instructions and it painted up nicely. The silkscreen process was really easy--centered the silkscreen on the tray and used the squeegee to make sure there were no bubbles and it was secured well. Followed the instructions regarding keeping the squeegee upright to apply the chalk paint and it worked well. Had one spot where paint seeped through, but I just fixed it by hand with a tiny paintbrush. Sealed it with Krylon spray. I got a couple on sale, and for the price, it makes a nice-looking gift.

I liked this project and it came out great. There was the right amount of paint for the piece and to do some minor touchups.

Good service and quick delivery. I was so excited to order this but disappointed when it arrived. The tray was bowed and needed to be glued along the edges. The silk screen was difficult to peel -- kept separating layers of paper instead of peeling straight to the adhesive. The paint was clotted and almost unusable. I have another 2 coming and may just return them.
