These coasters are large enough for a soup mug. This is a great pattern book. I've made the baseball, bowling, golf, and football ones for some of the guys I work with, then one of the other guys had me make 2 more baseball ones for his family members. When I get around to it, I still want to make the others I haven't made, just because I think they are all cute.
