Design is made using 7 skeins of super chunky-weight yarn. The shrug is made from a rectangle that is folded in half and seamed to form armholes. This pattern uses a M, P, Q crochet hook.

I just bought the downloadable pattern. I am 100% new of crocheting but I so love this shrug that I am willing to learn how to crochet. I've been a knitter for over 35 years now and never crochet in my life. As I am reading the pattern I think I got the hang of it but wish there was a video to show us how to do it.. I had bought kits for knitting from Annie's knit club and we have video of it.. and it's nice when we are stuck on one part we can check the video. Wish me luck!!

I made one for my mom using the recommended yarn but in market spice color. Used a P crochet hook and M on cuffs, and recommended quantity was fine. Making a second one for myself. Agree it's annoying not to be ankle to get yarn on Annie's site. Ordered yarn from an online yarn and craft site, and because I thought I had enough left from the first one, I needed 2 add'l which I got from a crafting retail location. Very happy with the pattern. Wish Annie's would provide more help on yarn recommendations.

This is my first attempt at making anything to wear. It was so easy and I finished it quickly. I loved the yarn but I bought it from amazon. I will be doing this in different colors. It needs a tam to go with it. I need an easy pattern.

Very easy to follow and works up very quickly. I've made two and nothing but compliments on this project. It does stretch and fits oversized like the description....you will not be disappointed!
