The instructions are poorly written and confusing, not worth muddling through. And I'm experienced in crochet, not a newbie. I even showed the pattern to a friend who crochets to see if it was just me, but she agreed that it's poorly written. A total waste of 8 bucks.

Nancy - We would like to find out more from you concerning your post. Someone from pattern services will be contacting you shortly to see what we can do to help.I will preface this review by saying I have never wrote a review like this before ever. I saw this pattern and thought how beautiful. I have been crocheting for over 30 years and have seen some hard to understand patterns but this one was crazy. As some reviews said it wasn't easy, so I was all I for the video because crocheting should be enjoyable... well this is the worst video ever. He is unclear and way to fast and ends at row 15 .. that was almost ok for first half.. after row 159 the pattern is ???? If I had not crocheted for so long I would never have been able to finish. Don't buy.. it is way to frustrating and very unenjoyable.
I love Annie's projects. I ordered the pattern and thought would be easy for me but I was wrong. I can read the pattern sometimes I get confused and lost. I wish there is a video for that. I had the pattern for over 2 months. I was spoiled watching the video on Annie's monthly. I'm learning to watch the video and look at the pattern.
I loved making this shawl, the pattern was easy to follow. Thinking of making another for a gift.
As an occasional crocheter, but not beginner, I found this pattern challenging at first. I made a huge mistake in row 11 and had to rip out over a skein's worth of work. I joined the Facebook group and found someone who had posted pictures of her finished shawl and was able to figure out where I had gone wrong. Now I am loving this project and can't wait to finish mine! Unfortunately, like others, I am purchasing additional yarn today.
