I find this DVD a bit frustrating. First, I've done a few quilts (I'm a beginner) and have never seen directions about "cutting the width of the fabric", then "subcutting." I'm still not sure about this. Why not just say cut 2 strips 2 inches by 12 1/2???
I also didn't see why she didn't use a walking foot. My machine has a built in one which I use on everything except decorative stitches and my fabric didn't move at all. Perhaps that machine she was given to use and promote doesn't have one?
Also, I am working on the table topper and I found that her using white fabric for backing and for sashing and channeling was difficult to see, especially against a white colored sewing machine. I think for teaching purposes she should have used contrasting colors to be seen better.
The making of the blocks was easy and fun but seemed like a lot of wasted fabric. I used precut strips so mine were all the same width but I was more careful about using a long strip and cutting all that off.
I really want to make the French braid quilt but not feeling very confident about putting these blocks together. I watched the DVD and thought, wow, I think I'm going to have trouble. (sashing the table topper)
I generally like the instructor, have another DVD but this one I'm not that crazy about.

Loved it! She takes the time to show you through every step, and her fabric choices were very colorful and eye appealing. I will watch this often.

This class was great. Although I mostly design and make landscape art quilts I like to learn something new once in a while. The instructor was very informative and explained everything in great detail, which I like. Thank you for having these courses available to all of us. I would love to see more landscape art quilt video's if possible.

Hi am so happy I bought this class. It is amazing what you can learn when you have a good instructor. She explains everything so clearly and slowly. Now I can quilt as you go.

I just started quilting. I think Nancy is very good at teaching "Quilt as You Go". Now to just find the time to make some of the projects!! I would not hesitate to take another class from her when I have the time.

I have not had enough time to complete all projects yet but have watched much of the class projects and found Nancy to be a very good instructor. Directions and examples are clear and demonstrated well. I look forward to additional classes. I love quilting even though I am just a beginner!
