This pattern is definitely for the knitter that can knit socks with very little designer input. The socks are so pretty and the size ranges from x-small to xxx-large! But the written instructions can be confusing to a newbeginner knitter. The designer relies on the knitter to figure out the leg and foot length of the sock as a personal preference but does not mention this until the knitter reaches those sections. The ghost motiff chart is very simple to follow. Colorwork charts are usally read from bottom to top and from right to left in the round. The first row the the ghost motiff starts with the "tail" of the ghost and not the head. If continued to knit this way, the ghost will be knitted upside down beacuse the pattern is knitted cuff-down.For the toe decrease section there is a comment about the "lace part of the sock should be facing you". There is no lace knitting in the pattern. Once again, this might be confusing to a newbeginner knitter. All in all, the pattern idea is fun for Halloween. It's better suited for advanced knitters. The designer can be contacted if help is needed.
