while the story and characters were interesting, the many meetings that Scarlett and her friends had discussing what they learned, which usually was very little, really made the novel drag. We read when the character talks to someone, then read about a meeting where the character tells others about what they discovered, and a few pages later they have snother meeting. It got boring. I feel the stories are better when just Scarlett investigates. As usually, Scarlett has no idea who the killer is, which I kind of like. It was a nice story, but could have been better. If the author has to pad the story out, it would be better to have a second story line to keep the readers interest. - Chuck from Nebraska.
