Interested in donating your project? This design was made for The Seamen’s Church Institute, an organization that provides pastoral care, maritime education, and legal and advocacy services for mariners. The organization runs Christmas at Sea, a volunteer crocheting and knitting program that collects handmade hats, scarves, cowls, socks and vests with toiletries and other goods to send to mariners who work far from home during the holiday season. The patterns are carefully crafted to complement the work and safety gear mariners wear on board their vessels. See the end of the pattern for more information on donating.
